Introducing our new Communications and Marketing Officer

Friends of the Dales is delighted to announce the appointment of Cailum Peers-Earley as our new Communications and Marketing Officer.

Cailum has spent the last seven years working within marketing agencies, delivering integrated campaigns across digital, social, and print. With a background of multi-channel strategy, content creation, and campaign execution.

A lifelong Yorkshire resident, Cailum is a passionate fell runner who regularly competes in local races as well as ultra-marathons such as the Fellsman, a 96km route climbing over 11,000 feet from Ingleton to Threshfield. He has also recently started volunteering for the Dales Way Association, supporting the preservation of the pathway as a Footpath Officer.

Cailum said:

“The Yorkshire Dales have been a huge part of my life and an area I care deeply about. Ever since I can remember, I’ve spent time exploring the national park, climbing its famous hills, and enjoying the local pubs, restaurants, and cafés. One of my favourite spots is up around Blea Moor and Dodd Fell, it feels so wild and remote. You’re often the only person up there, with unrestricted views across the beautiful landscape.

I am incredibly excited to join the team at Friends of the Dales. I believe the Dales should be responsibly enjoyed by everyone, and I look forward to using my professional experience to help encourage wider access, support the local communities and share my support with the protection of the wildlife”.
